About Me

Dr. Emily Kurlansik, PsyD BCBA NCSP is a pediatric neuropsychologist, board-certified behavior analyst and nationally certified school psychologist. She is an assistant professor of neurology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and has a private practice in Tribeca, NY. In addition to her specialization in the assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults who present with neurological, neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and comorbid conditions, Dr. Kurlansik provides parent coaching, behavior consultation, and educational advocacy services. Dr. Emily Kurlansik is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and neuropsychologist at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She is a licensed psychologist in New York and holds specialty certifications as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Dr. Kurlansik specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults with neurological, neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and comorbid conditions. She provides neuropsychological evaluations for pediatric patients presenting with a wide variety of conditions, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, head injuries, congenital malformations, CNS tumors, autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, language impairments, and mood disorders. Dr. Kurlansik offers a holistic, team-based approach to care and closely collaborates with families, healthcare providers, and educators to ensure the highest quality care for her patients. Dr. Kurlansik earned her Doctor of Psychology degree from Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
